I am a film and audiovisual producer, and although I still have many stories to tell, I never imagined I would have to tell my own. And here I am.

I am a Latina cancer survivor. At 45, a routine screening changed my life forever. No warning, no symptoms… just a clear before and after.

Being far from my country and my family made the journey even harder. The uncertainty, the medical process, the physical and emotional changes—and even the financial strain—forced me to see life from a different perspective.

Today, almost two years later, I am still here, learning to live each moment with intention. I’ve learned that life is not about certainty, but about how we choose to live, love, and transform.

I have not been alone. The love of my family, the support of my friends, and the kindness of others have been essential. And along the way, NUEVA VIDA has been a pillar—a space of support and strength alongside other Latina women.

Today, I deeply value and support organizations that uplift and guide those who need it most.

This journey does not define me, but it has transformed me. It drives me forward with determination, gratitude, and hope.

Soy productora de cine y contenidos audiovisuales, y aunque aún me faltan muchas historias por contar, nunca imaginé que me tocaría contar la mía. Y aquí estoy.

Soy una mujer latina sobreviviente de cáncer. A mis 45 años, un examen de rutina cambió mi vida para siempre. Sin señales, sin aviso… solo un antes y un después.

Estar lejos de mi país y de mi familia hizo el camino más difícil. La incertidumbre, los procesos médicos, los cambios físicos y emocionales, incluso lo económico, me obligaron a mirar la vida desde otra perspectiva.

Hoy, casi dos años después, aquí sigo, aprendiendo a habitar cada instante con sentido. He aprendido que la vida no se trata de certezas, sino de cómo elegimos vivir, amar y transformarnos.

No he estado sola. El amor de mi familia, el apoyo de mis amigos y la solidaridad de otros han sido esenciales. Y en ese camino, NUEVA VIDA ha sido un pilar: un espacio de acompañamiento y fortaleza junto a otras mujeres latinas.

Hoy valoro y apoyo profundamente a las organizaciones que sostienen y guían a quienes más lo necesitan.

Este proceso no me define, pero sí me ha transformado. Me impulsa a seguir con determinación, gratitud y esperanza.

Hoy te invito a ser parte.
