OFFERS SUPPORT SERVICES FOR LATINAS WITH CANCER

Imagine that you have no health insurance, no family or friends nearby and you are diagnosed with cancer. Your world is turned upside down and the diagnosis sounds like a death sentence. After all, breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in Latinas . For the last 20 years Nueva Vida (New Life) has been giving hope and providing free services to a community ravaged by cancer. 

Nueva Vida offers free comprehensive programs that serve the needs of a community that lacks access to cancer care. It is the only agency of its kind in the Mid-Atlantic region because it offers culturally competent programs in Spanish through the cancer continuum: outreach/education, community based patient navigation, mental health support and research. In 2011 it won the Society of Behavioral Medicine Community Engagement Award and its "Caregivers' Program" was the subject of a 3 year study funded by the US Government. Nueva Vida has given new life to so many. You can now give new life to Nueva Vida with a generous contribution that will support Latinas with cancer.

The foundation of Nueva Vida is a community, not just an organization, where we provide deeply personal cancer assistance. For the past 25 years, Nueva Vida has offered support, resources, and access to state-of-the-art cancer treatment to Latinas confronting barriers to healthcare.

Our organization supports Latina cancer survivors, their caregivers, and their families throughout the cancer journey. We recognize that cancer affects not only the individual but also their support network, and we aim to strengthen the health and resilience of the entire community.
