Jason is fundraising for AACC!

I’m proud to be part of the Alexandria A Cappella Collective, a choral arts organization that carries forward the legacy of barbershop harmony in the DC area. Our organization builds on a tradition established by my chorus, the Alexandria Harmonizers, who have represented our city on the international stage for decades.

For the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of growing with this chorus - as a singer, a section leader, and now as an assistant director. What keeps me here is simple: I believe in the power of voices coming together to create something bigger than ourselves. Through performances, education programs, and outreach, we work to enrich lives across the DC area through singing.

Your support helps us do that. As a growing a cappella arts organization, we are working to secure a rehearsal venue that truly supports our needs, along with funding performances, developing singers, and expanding opportunities for people across the region to experience this music.

I want to be clear about what you’re supporting. This isn’t about simply funding my hobby. Organizations like ours are both increasingly rare and increasingly valuable. Spaces where people from different generations and backgrounds come together consistently, working toward a shared purpose, are increasingly uncommon. Our organization brings together students, young professionals, and retirees in a way that fosters connection, mentorship, and community well beyond the music itself. That alone has real value. The fact that we also deliver high-quality, engaging performances for the broader community is an added bonus.
