Fairlington Preschool is a play-based, inclusion preschool committed to supporting the academic and developmental needs of children aged 2-5, including those with disabilities, special needs, or developmental delays. Our curriculum, staffing, and learning environment are tailored to support the individual needs of every child. This approach means that preschoolers with all abilities can learn together, benefit from a diverse classroom experience, and receive instruction from teachers trained in differentiation and scaffolding strategies that focus on child-directed learning and child development.
In inclusion classrooms, all children benefit from learning together. Typically developing peers learn alongside children with special needs in a hands-on, active learning environment. Support for children needing special services in language, sensory integration, or motor development may be provided by our speech, occupational, & physical therapy partners. Therapy services can be quite costly for families yet make a dramatic difference in a child's development. As such, Fairlington Preschool is committed to supporting our families’ needs by subsidizing some of these therapy services and other associated costs.
Money raised will provide support for Fairlington Preschool’s overall program and operations, allowing us to direct resources where they are needed most. Your support helps sustain a high-quality, inclusive learning environment – including inclusion services, classroom materials, enrichment programs, outdoor learning, professional development for teachers, and much more!
