Smokey is Struggling to Breathe

We received a call last night from our team in Danville, Virginia. An owner had just surrendered a very sick cat named Smokey because they couldn't afford medical care. When we went to get Smokey, it was clear he was struggling. He was lethargic, dehydrated, and covered in snot. We rushed him to the emergency vet. He's stable now, but will need additional tests to make sure he hasn't developed pneumonia. In the meantime, we've started him on medication to hopefully get him feeling better and give his body a chance to fight off the upper respiratory infection. Any help for Smokey is appreciated!
