A Lonely Shelter is All He Knows

Maserati’s story is one of heartbreak. This 2 year old Shepherd mix was found wandering the roads of southwest Virginia, alone and confused, and taken to a rural shelter where he has waited ever since. Day after day, he stares at the door, hoping the person he once belonged to will come for him, but no one ever does. The shelter is loud and frightening, and Maserati spends his days curled up in a corner, sad and forgotten. Time is running out for him, and without a chance to leave, he may never escape the loneliness of those concrete walls. Homeward Trails wants to give Maserati the life every dog deserves, but they cannot do it alone.
