I started singing in choir when I was 11 and never stopped! 😍

I began singing with the Alexandria Singers in September 2005, less than six months after moving to VA for my first full-time job after graduate school. Now, over 20 years later; I can’t imagine life without my singing Family. My husband Jason sang with us for 3 years, our son was only 2 weeks old at his first Singers concert, and our daughter was just 6 weeks old at her first Singers concert.

Every week, more than 90 singers walk into rehearsal carrying the full weight of our days. Work, family, and responsibilities. For two hours, we set it down. We breathe together, listen to one another, and create something none of us could create alone.

It’s not just music. It’s my community.

The Alexandria Singers are more than an auditioned chorus. We are a creative home, a third place in a busy world that is not work, not home, but something rarer: a space where individuals become something greater together. In a region where people are always moving, always achieving, always on to the next thing, we are a place where voices belong.

Come join us!
