Callie is Calling Out for Help!

Callie is only 8 months old, but her life has already been turned upside down. This sweet Lab mix puppy was surrendered to a rural shelter in southwest Virginia, where the days are loud, cold, and terrifying, especially for a young dog who should be learning what love feels like, not what loneliness does. As a black dog, Callie faces heartbreaking odds; dogs who look like her are too often overlooked, passed by again and again as families choose others. Behind kennel bars, she waits, confused and scared, with no one to tell her she’s safe or that this isn’t forever. Homeward Trails Animal Rescue wants to save Callie from growing up without a family, from spending her life watching the world go by through steel doors, but they can’t do it without donations.
