Gia Doesn't Want to Run Out of Time!

Gia is a beautiful Shepherd mix from southern Virginia who should be loving life with a family, but instead she is sitting alone on a cold concrete floor in a rural shelter with painfully low adoption rates. This pretty one year old girl was found wandering as a stray, her short life already marked by fear, hunger, and dangers no young dog should ever face. No one knows what Gia ran from or how long she survived on her own, but we do know that she wants to put her old life behind her. Each day in that lonely kennel feels sadder than the last, and in a place where dogs are so often overlooked, time is not on her side. Homeward Trails is desperate to pull Gia to safety, to give her the second chance she has never had, but they cannot rescue her without donations and sponsors to cover her transport and care.
