This story makes us a bit sick AND grateful at the same time. Kiwi and his 2 healthy 13 year old siblings were callously brought to a vet and asked to be euthanized. No reason given - just did not want to deal with them anymore.
Thankfully, the vet refused to euthanize Kiwi at just 7 years old and now he has a chance. His siblings died that day without a chance to live out their final years in a loving home.
Kiwi has no vetting and thus, for us to take him in we will have to get him fully vetted and likely seek temporary boarding until we can secure transport.
Local partners we have on the ground are fearful the owners may try to take Kiwi to another vet to be euthanized if we do not move him fast.
PLEASE help us say yes to this little guy so his fate is not a needless, callous death.
