Their Owner Could No Longer Care for Them

Fred and Ethel are 6 year old siblings who were recently surrendered to a rural shelter. Their owner loved them, but was entering assisted living so could no longer continue to care for them. We're sure it must have been heartbreaking to surrender them and see them potentially split up. We heard about these two and knew we had to help them and make sure they stay together forever. Based on the photos, they found the shelter environment very stressful, trying to hid in the back of their cage. Fred is almost 25 pounds and severely matted so will need some extra TLC. Please help give these two a second chance.
