I’m proud to serve on the board of The Spitfire Club, a wonderful Alexandria organization that helps girls build confidence, identity, and a love of reading through books and mentorship.
Every week, Spitfire brings girls together with caring mentors and diverse books featuring strong female protagonists. The girls get more than a book club — they get a place where they are seen, supported, and encouraged to imagine themselves as the main character in their own story.
That matters. And the girls feel it: 93% say Spitfire Club is a special place where they feel like they belong.
Spitfire’s programming is also 100% free, which makes donor support incredibly important.
