Youth Engaged in Service
Because of Spring2ACTion donors, 100 middle and high school students were able to take part in Volunteer Alexandria's Youth Engaged in Service program, learning about human services in Alexandria. This year, we need your help again. Join us in connecting even more youth to service.

King Street Cats
Thanks to Spring2ACTion, King Street Cats provided food and critical veterinary care to more than 350 cats in 2025. When urgent calls for help came from our community, we were able to step in—funding life-saving surgeries for vulnerable cats and kittens who are now fully recovered and thriving in their forever homes. Your support through Spring2ACTion didn’t just make a difference—it saved lives.

703 Warriors
Spring2ACTion enables 703 Warriors to tell the stories behind the jerseys where access and opportunity turns into confidence and belonging. Community support makes our free, three-days-a-week programming possible for Alexandria’s underserved youth.

Spring2ACTion helps make it possible for Titan Robotics to continue to share STEM within our community at no cost to participants! Spring2ACTion helps us fund First Lego League robotics teams for ACPS middle and elementary schools, ensuring the students gain knowledge and experience in STEM. We value inclusion and are grateful that Spring2ACTion helps us spread STEM and fund our own team's activities while ensuring our "No Cuts, No Fees, No Experience Required" policy.

Hacan
Building Stronger Families and Communities
As a first-time participant, Spring2ACTion represents a vital opportunity for HACAN to connect with new donors and increase our visibility within the community. This support will directly empower our youth leadership initiatives and help us build stronger, more resilient families through our grassroots advocacy and education programs.

Communities In Schools
Being Present Matters
Thanks to Spring2ACTion, Communities In Schools of Northern Virginia (CIS NOVA) was able to support hundreds of students with the resources and relationships they need to succeed in school and in life. When challenges arose—from chronic absenteeism to unmet basic needs—our site coordinators stepped in, connecting students to essential supports and showing up as trusted adults every day. Your support didn’t just make a difference—it helped students stay in school, build confidence, and see a path forward.

Alexandria Seaport Foundation
Your Spring2ACTion support enables Seaport’s Apprentice Program to provide young adults, like Amon and Henry, with job readiness training and life skills mentoring, helping them navigate past barriers to more stable futures. Both are Program Graduates currently thriving as Lead Apprentices at Seaport, contributing to daily operations and assisting with woodworking and boat building. Both faced challenges when they first arrived but found Seaport a safe place to gain the confidence and skill sets for more self-sufficient lives, with Amon applying to the Carpenter’s Union and Henry working toward his GED.

Rebuilding Together DC Alexandria
Grateful Sisters
Sisters Lavita and Oleta live in a local home that has been in their family since the 1940s, but as it has aged, critical repairs have far exceeded what they can afford on Social Security. Their situation improved when Rebuilding Together DC Alexandria stepped in to address serious safety concerns, including repairing a hazardous hole in the front steps. Your Spring2Action contribution helps us purchase materials and partner with contractors so we can continue supporting income-qualifying older adults and others in need.
Cornerstone Craftsman
Gabriel's Journey to Life-Changing Job in the Trades
With support made possible through Spring2ACTion, one participant entered our program without even knowing how to use a hammer and is now a proud member of IBEW Local 26, working as a union electrician and earning life-changing wages. They continue to stay connected to Cornerstone Craftsman by sharing updates from the field, inspiring current youth and showing what’s possible when opportunity meets preparation and hard work.
Child & Family Network Centers
Community Impact at CFNC
Every year, Spring2ACTion reminds us of the power of the Alexandria community and how they support our work and our families. Because of Spring2ACTion, CFNC is able to secure funding for the services our 139 children need the most and it allows us to meet even more of those needs.
Jackie's Story
Because of Spring2ACTion, AHA can keep membership rates affordable and provide scholarships to low-income older adults in our city. One scholarship recipient depends on AHA volunteers for transportation to weekly medical appointments and assistance with grocery shopping. During her three years with our organization, she has built meaningful friendships, maintained consistent access to medical care, and brightened the lives of many volunteers with her warmth and curiosity, and signature ginger candies.

Finding Their Voice, Shaping the Future
Casa Chirilagua’s partnerships open a doorway for mothers to learn English, giving them the confidence to speak with teachers, advocate for their children, and navigate everyday decisions with clarity and courage. Surrounded by volunteers and neighbors who believe in them, these women begin to see themselves differently, not just as learners, but as leaders and guides within their own families, strengthening the life of the whole community. What begins as learning a language becomes something deeper: a bridge from isolation to opportunity, and a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community chooses to walk alongside one another with care and purpose.

The Alexandria Singers
Spring2ACTion has become the cornerstone of our annual fundraising, connecting The Alexandria Singers with donors who share our belief that a community chorus is more than music — it is a creative home for the people who need it. This peer to peer campaign has introduced us to new donors and amplified our visibility across Alexandria, ensuring that this 50-year-old institution can keep its doors open for every voice that belongs here.

Animal Welfare League of Alexandria
More Than a Shelter
With the generous support of Spring2Action donors, we impacted thousands of homeless animals and pets in our community last year. In 2025, we facilitated 1,365 pet adoptions, administered 1,132 vaccinations to pets across the community, and hosted 1,489 visits to our Community Pet Pantry for pet food and supplies assistance. From life-saving surgeries to pet supplies and nutritious food, the AWLA is much more than a shelter, and we couldn’t do it without donors like you!

Wilderness Kids Alexandria
Broadening Horizons: First in Family to College
Through Spring2ACTion, we raise enough funds each year to expand and diversify our programming to reach as many students as we can. One of the 220+ students we served last year is this wonderful young woman who joined Wilderness Kids 3 years ago, in 9th grade, on a weekend ice skating trip to Cameron Run. She is one of the bravest of all Wilderness Kids students--brave because many activities, like hiking, camping, swimming, skating, and others, make her anxious. Yet, with courage and resilience, she has seen her way to the tops of mountains, along ski trails, through swim lessons, and around ice rinks (among many other things); and, for her next most important adventure: to college as the first in her family to attend.
