*HELP US RAISE $15,000 FOR A SUMMER PERFORMING ARTS CAMP FOR LOW-INCOME YOUTH IN ALEXANDRIA*

Through creating and performing original musical theater productions, we are raising funds to support:

 - Performing Arts Education

 - Leadership Development

 - Technology Skills Training

 - Scholarship Programs

Unfortunately, options for summer activities are limited for low-income youth whose families have an annual household income of less than $20K.

Our Founder and Executive Director has been facilitating our organization's mission in Alexandria for the past 7 years by creating original theatrical productions. The proceeds from these events have supported a leadership development program, and a performing arts program for these youths. This led him to create Momentum Collective, Inc., to increase the capacity of serving the target population and gain community support.

Our five-week summer performing arts camp will help inspire a new generation of budding artists and allow untapped talent to be cultivated.

Help us reach our goal to cover the cost of space rental, instructors, field trips and meals for 30 program participants. In partnership with the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority, we have an identified population of youth to engage with over the summer. Our ability to provide an enriching opportunity that allows kids to dream big will go a long way and improve the quality of life for Alexandria's underserved population.

"We strongly believe in the efficacy of arts education, particularly as a motivating force and self-esteem builder in the lives of our youth. Many schools have immensely scaled back or eliminated arts programs due to lack of funding for arts education." - Jason A. Ellis, Founder/Executive Director

Momentum Collective Inc. was founded in 2016 with the specific mission of using the arts as a conduit to educate, enrich, and empower the lives of youth. We heavily rely on the support of the community, through volunteers and partnerships, to ensure that high quality arts education is freely accessible to all Alexandria youth. We provide afterschool arts programs, summer arts programs, youth leadership development, arts workshops, and outdoor camping experiences at no cost to some of the most underserved youth populations across the city. We also provide scholarships to first generation college students who embody our tagline, "The Art of Service".

This year we are specifically seeking your financial support to fund our ongoing children's theater program, which we run in conjunction with the city's recreation department. We produce 2 musicals annually, involving Alexandria youth between the ages of 8-16. As with all our programs, youth participate in the productions for free, and your donation will help cover cost of costumes, food for the cast, and various other production elements.

We can promise that 100% of the proceeds from this fundraising campaign will go towards advancing our mission and serving Alexandria youth. In 2024 alone, we positively impacted the lives of over 220 youth in Alexandria and your donation will tremendously help us to increase our reach. We thank you in advance for your careful consideration as we know there are many worthy charities in the community. We hope that you will partner with us in raising the standard of youth arts education and promote Arts for All.
