We want to help our outstanding teachers and make sure they have the supplies they need to continue their inspirational and creative work.
This year, we are raising money for our art, PE and music programs, with a special focus on Maury's fantastic art program. Our talented and beloved Mrs. Tio would like to purchase a new 3D printer for Maury that will allow our students to combine art with technology.
Maury students would learn how to write computer code while designing an object for the 3D printer—linking the worlds of art and STEM.
To quote Mrs. Tio, "I want our children to be little Leonardo daVinci's—artists and scientists!"

Thank you for your interest in supporting Naomi L. Brooks Elementary PTA (formerly Maury Elementary). Our goal is to raise money to support upcoming Brooks Elementary field trips, purchase new equipment for use in music, art, and PE classes, and new books for our students.
About Naomi L. Brooks Elementary
Our school is named for the late Alexandria educator Naomi Lewis Brooks, born on April 14, 1934, the oldest of the five children of James and Eunice Quander Lewis. Learn more about Naomi L. Brooks

The Brooks PTA is a member organization that connects parents with the school. Our main goal is to support the staff and teachers at Brooks with financial and volunteer resources to enrich the academic experience of every student. The PTA at Brooks funds all field trips, provides stipends to each classroom for materials, reimburses room parents for craft parties, hosts and fund events such as a back to school picnic and end of year field days, supports the Young Scholars program, supports the learning garden, playground and side yard (in cooperation with ACPS), and reviews and funds various grants from staff and teachers that enrich curriculum or the school experience. State and National PTA advocates on a variety of issues that affect education in general. Joining also supports those efforts.
