Alexandria City High School Band Boosters

Your donations help all the ACHS Bands excel by providing private lesson scholarships, instruments, music, uniforms, equipment, transportation, competition entry fees, food and more! The program includes the Marching Titans, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic and Concert Bands, and the Jazz Bands.

It's Spring2ACTion 2025 in Alexandria, and we are asking for your support. As the largest public high school in Virginia, Alexandria City High School features an award-winning band program and band director. In fact, ACHS's premier performance music ensemble, the Wind Ensemble, has received superior rating for their annual Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association music performance assessments for 10 consecutive years! Most recently, the combined Concert/Symphonic/Wind Ensemble band competed in the Festivals of Music competition in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and won numerous awards.

Our goal is $5,000 in total donations to assist in funding new instruments or repairs to existing instruments.  For many students, the cost of spending between $1,000 and $10,000 on a new instrument is just too high.  With your donation, we will be able to purchase new instruments for students to use during their time in band.  Additionally, we'll be able to repair existing instruments that require basic maintenance so we can keep them running longer for our students.    

We fundraise every year to support our programs and the replenishment and repair of instruments is an annual, and at times costly, expense.  Your donation would go a long way in supporting our band programs.  All funds raised through the ACHS Band Boosters support all of ACHS's band programs, including the Marching Titans, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Bands, Symphonic Band and Concert band. By offsetting these costs, we can provide more funding to lessons, scholarships, music, uniforms, equipment, transportation, competition entry fees, and more.
