The orchestra program at Alexandria City High School (ACHS) currently serves over 120 students in five different ensembles, welcoming beginning to advanced musicians. This program continues to flourish and grow under the leadership of Ms. Veronica Jackson, recently named American Strings Teacher Association (Virginia Chapter) Orchestra Director of the Year for 2024! The ACHS orchestra boosters support this vibrant group of students by fundraising to offset costs for competition fees, helping to pay for sectional classes, offering lesson scholarships for students, and promoting opportunities for the orchestra to thrive.
