Washington Street UMC Preschool

At Washington Street UMC Preschool, we rely on fundraising efforts to fund small areas in our budget not covered by tuition including our Enrichment Programs. We are proud to offer a variety of enrichment opportunities, such as our bi-weekly Science Seed program, our weekly music program with Ms. Abby and our much loved, springtime Hatch-a-Chick unit; all vital elements to the high quality early childhood experience we strive to offer at Washington Street UMC Preschool.

Additionally, our preschool students have enjoyed special enrichment events like a youth orchestra concert; a story book coming to life with the help of a puppet show; a visit from the Archeology Museum, the Glenn Echo Aquarium and Jerome Buddy Ford Nature Center; and did we mention experiencing the hatching of chicken eggs? There are countless outstanding early childhood enrichment programs that we are fortunate to enjoy in our community.

We hope to continue to offer such programs and expand our choices. With your generous support, we can!

POPSICLE PARTY COMPETITION IS BACK! Our Preschool Board has generously committed to donating $1,750 this year to WSUMCP. If our current students can match or exceed $1,750 in total donations we will have a playground popsicle party for all students featuring our mini bounce house!

RAFFLE ITEMS!
Our Board has also generously secured some awesome raffle items for donors.

If you donate more than $100 to WSUMCP, you will be entered into a raffle to win a one night STAYCATION at The Archer Hotel on King Street in a one-bedroom suite and a $50 AKB gift card for breakfast or dinner with the stay.

Who We Are

Washington Street United Methodist Church Preschool’s primary ministry is teaching God’s unconditional love and acceptance, and learning to live lovingly. We provide a child-centered, nurturing environment that enables children to develop to their fullest potential socially, emotionally, spiritually, physically, and cognitively. Our Preschool was established in 1991 as a ministry of the Washington Street United Methodist Church and serves children two and a half to five years of age.
