Neighborhood Health's mission is to improve health and eliminate health disparities in Alexandria and Arlington and Fairfax Counties by providing access to high-quality primary care regardless of ability to pay. Child Wellness Check-Ups Come with Books for Each Child through our Reach Out & Read Program

In FY2025, with your support, Neighborhood Health was able to serve 12,902 Alexandria residents, including more than 5,200 children. Almost 5,000 (35%) of those patients were uninsured, and unable to cover the cost of their services. We provided more 68,000 medical, dental and behaviorl health visits, offering a comprehensive medical home to many Alexandria residents who didn't have any other options for accessing health care.

Many of our patients live with chronic health conditions that need ongoing monitoring and medications, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or asthma; who struggle with obesity; or who have no other way to obtain important screenings, such as those for breast, cervical, or colon cancer.

It is only through the generosity of our neighbors -- you! -- that we are able to remain the medical home for thousands of patients in Northern Virginia and to ensure that they are reciving the highest quality of care. Thank you!

 This year for Spring2ACTion:

  • We are requesting your support to continue offering care to uninsured children and adults. Your generosity means we never have to turn away a patient due to lack of insurance.
  • All donations will be generously matched by the Mason Hirst Foundation up to $10,000.

We thank you for your generosity!

Your donation ensures high-quality primary health care for thousands of Alexandria residents who do not have health insurance or who depend on Medicaid.

Neighborhood Health has been providing primary health care to low-income residents in the City of Alexandria, regardless of their ability to pay, for more than 28 years.

Your contributions through Spring2ACTion

ensure that every one of our neighbors

has access to essential primary health care.

Neighborhood Health has 5 clinics in the City of Alexandria: East Glebe Road, Casey Health Center, Martha Custis Drive, Mark Center Drive, and the WOW Bus (providing dental care to children attending Alexandria City Public Schools).

Neighborhood Health is the local community health center that provides primary medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare to our uninsured and underinsured neighbors in the City of Alexandria, Arlington, and Fairfax County. Last year we served over 42,700 patients. 98% of patients were low-income and 37% did not have health insurance.

No one is denied care if they are unable to pay for services.
