Alexandria Community Fund

ACT has
always been here to strengthen the capacity of nonprofits and to help our neighbors
in need.

The needs of
Alexandrians are rapidly changing and evolving. The Community Fund is designed
to nimbly respond to those needs and increase our community's capacity to aid
neighbors seeking stable financial footing and a brighter future.

The Community
Support Initiative builds off our commitment to amplify the work of the
community by bringing people and resources together.  We will ensure that
the initiative also aligns with our strategic priorities:

Support the economic well-being of all
Alexandrians, especially those struggling to afford the basic necessities

·      
Support the capacity and effectiveness of
Alexandria’s nonprofit community, especially those responding to the
humanitarian and social service needs of Alexandrians

Grant funds
will be targeting support for the economic well-being of city of Alexandria
residents. Examples of what could be funded:

·      
Emergency financial assistance to support
economic well-being, including housing security, food security, affordable
childcare, medical expenses, and workforce development.

·      
Coordination and navigation support for legal
services or other areas as needed.

·      
Nonprofit staff resilience and wellbeing.
