In turbulent times, people need places where they can slow down, find joy, and feel connected.

For generations, The Art League has been that place—a creative oasis where people of all ages and backgrounds come to explore self-expression, learn, share, and belong.

Thanks to you, our new creative campus is open and thriving. People are artistically active. Hands are busy. Ideas and connections are taking shape.

Now, we’re focused on what comes next.

Phase Two of our Relocation Project is about stabilizing the foundation beneath this work—closing the gap on construction and occupancy costs so The Art League can remain a place where creativity stays open, accessible, and free to grow.

Who We Are

Founded in 1954, The Art League, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, is among the region’s largest and oldest multi-service organizations for visual artists. As a major component of the cultural fabric of Alexandria, The Art League offers extensive exhibit opportunities for artists through its gallery, outstanding fine art education through the school, and valuable outreach programs to the local community. The Art League is headquartered in the landmark Torpedo Factory Art Center.
