Every Life We Touch Begins with Hope

Every year, thousands of dogs and cats in underserved communities face uncertain futures, without access to medical care, safe shelter, or the chance to find a loving home. At OPH, we step in where the need is greatest, partnering with shelters across the Southeast to rescue dogs and cats who might otherwise be overlooked. From frightened puppies and kittens to resilient seniors, from healthy dogs and cats to those battling illness or injury, each one deserves a chance at a chance to blossom.

Because of supporters like you, OPH bring hope to more than 1,400 animals a year. For these deserving pets, hope looks like 

• A ride from an overcrowded shelter to safety
• lifesaving medical care, including treatment for heartworm disease and parvovirus
• foster homes where they can heal and thrive
• families to give them loving homes

But we don't stop there. Sometimes hope also comes in the form of prevention. Your support helps us invest in real, sustainable solutions that will havelong term impact on the animal overpopulation crisis including:

• Community spay/neuter 
• food and supplies to support a caregiver in keeping their beloved pet
• working with animal control organizations to keep pets in homes
• mentoring and supporting our shelter partners
