Fort Hunt Youth Athletic Association provides youth, up to 18 years of age, the opportunity to experience recreational sports in an atmosphere that encourages and promotes teamwork, friendships, and self-confidence, in a positive, safe, and supportive environment. We offer opportunities to participate in various sports, including Little League, Lacrosse, Rugby, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, Pickleball, and Cheer. We believe participation in athletics can be a formative experience, providing benefits beyond the field for years to come. We are focused on helping more kids participate in youth sports and are dedicated to providing access to opportunities for underserved youth in our community.
Our goal is to raise $25,000. Every donation makes a difference! These donations can be put to work in the following ways:
•Scholarship fees for families in need
•Transportation services
•New uniforms
•Equipment
•Expansion of facilities
•Creation of new teams
•And much, much more...
The donation levels describe some of the many supplies and resources our Youth Programs need, as well as important improvements we would like to implement within our organization for the benefit of the community. We strive to use donations in the most impactful way possible. Actual use of funds may vary depending on current needs. We value transparency and can provide updates on how your donation makes a difference in our mission.
Who We Are
Fort Hunt Youth Athletic Association (FHYAA) was established in 1959 to serve the youth of Fort Hunt and the surrounding communities. Our mission is to provide children up to 18 years of age the opportunity to experience recreational sports in an atmosphere that encourages and promotes teamwork, friendships and self-confidence, in a positive, safe and supportive environment. We strive to teach proper sports fundamentals, strategies and good sportsmanship, which empowers our young athletes to become responsible citizens.
FHYAA is a nonprofit organization driven by volunteer members who serve in various capacities. We recognize that without our volunteers we could not function. We are thankful for and proud of the extensive network of community members that volunteer their time and effort to serve as coaches for our teams, Commissioners and Board Members for individual sports, as well as Board Members for FHYAA.
FHYAA currently supports Softball, Baseball, Lacrosse, Basketball, Rugby, Volleyball, Football and Cheerleading.
