Helping Kids Achieve Goals - on the Soccer Field and Beyond

We believe in the power of sport to teach lessons and open doors beyond the soccer field. That’s why we are committed to ensuring that every child interested has access to the benefits of play. This year during Spring2Action, we are raising funds for our:

NEW Academy Financial Aid Fund - We say "yes!" to every kid who wants to play soccer – regardless of their financial situation. Last year, we provided over $750,000 in financial aid across all programs.

Our Academy players are dedicated kids who have used soccer as a springboard to their future goals. By donating to this fund, you help us ensure we can provide scholarships across all Academy players who need it.

Players like Noel Mesfin, who through his dedication both on and off the field, secured a full scholarship from the Zotheka Foundation to attend VCU’s Cybersecurity Program, where he has maintained a 3.4 GPA and is looking to intern in the tech field this summer. 

By receiving a scholarship to play with ASA, Noel had access to opportunities that have already changed his life. During Spring2Action, please consider donating to our Academy Financial Aid Fund to help support other kids coming up through our Academy program!

Who We Are

Alexandria Soccer Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, established in 1970 in Alexandria, Virginia. ASA operates in the City of Alexandria, Virginia, and offers soccer programs for citizens of all abilities and ages.

ASA's Vision: Be the gold standard for community based soccer clubs — creating a lifelong love of soccer and impacting the community beyond the sport.

In 2017, ASA served just over 5,000 children in our community, helped build three outdoor neighborhood futsal courts in Alexandria, launched adult soccer and futsal leagues, piloted a free after school soccer league at two Title 1 elementary schools, won a United States Futsal Federation National Championship and so much more!

Your support helps us serve kids and give back to the community. An hour spent playing soccer with kids at an after school recreation center is as important to us as our Academy (travel) soccer program.

Our goal is to provide ACCESS to QUALITY programing for every person, at every level, who wants to play soccer. Help us continue to work towards this goal with your financial support today!
