Alexandria Learning Cooperative

Bridging time in the classroom with play, the arts and the great outdoors, Alexandria Learning Cooperative offers a different approach to school that centers on learning as an experience rather than an outcome. Currently serving children ages 5-9, we offer a Montessori-inspired, interdisciplinary curriculum that allows students to learn at their own pace in mixed-age classrooms. We partner with local organizations to provide community-based lessons and field trips, helping students connect their learning to real-life experiences. Before becoming a school we were a homeschool co-op and continue to offer classes and programming for homeschooled children. 

We are fundraising to build a student scholarship fund, provide support services to students with special learning needs and offer specialized teacher training as we expand our offerings in fall 2026.
