Beautiful Belle is Devastated to be Left Behind

There are some stories that are hard to read because you can’t help but picture your own dog in their place, and Belle’s is one of them. At 8 years old, after a lifetime of loyalty, love, and being there for her family, this beautiful Poodle was surrendered to a rural shelter in southern Virginia simply because her family “didn’t have time for her anymore.” Eight years, and this is how her story was supposed to end? We can’t imagine giving up our dogs, let alone when they’re entering their senior years, when they deserve comfort, routine, and the people they trust most. Poodles are such intelligent and devoted companions, and sweet Belle still has so much love left to give. Homeward Trails refuses to let this precious girl spend the rest of her life behind shelter walls, wondering what she did wrong. Please help us bring Belle to safety.
