Dave's a Singer

Music is magical! Individual notes, each contributing something of value, combine as melody and harmony to create something more powerful, more engaging, more inspiring. Music can tell a story, convey an emotion, touch a heart. I love making music--singing, playing an instrument, humming a happy tune. 

I especially love making music with others. Being a part of the Alexandria Singers for ten years, I have come to see the value of working together, each of us contributing our unique skills, to create a sound that none of us could create by themself. Together, we support each other. Together, we cover for each other. Together, we amplify each other. Together, we experience the power and joy of music, and convey that power and joy to our audiences. Being part of the  Alexandria Singers community has been an amazing, creative experience for me.

That's my why. But I'm asking you to donate to help make that possible. You might be asking yourself, "but, Dave, why should I contribute to this fundraiser?" I'm glad you asked. 

We Alexandria Singers are proud to share our music with all those in the Alexandria and surrounding communities. We are especially proud to share our music with members of our community who might not otherwise be able to access our performances by providing transportation and free or discounted tickets. Your contribution helps us spread the joy of music to all.

Now I realize we are in uncertain economic times. I'm sure there are many competing opportunities for you to make a difference. If you could manage a modest contribution to spread the magic of music to others in your community, I would sincerely appreciate it.
