I joined the Alexandria Singers 15 years ago, roughly one year after I moved to Northern Virginia. In hindsight, this is one of the best decisions I've ever made. Spoiler -- I'm not the only person in this group to echo these sentiments. Many will readily agree that joining the Singers has been life-changing.

The simple truth is that when you bring together people with a genuine love of singing, something special happens. I've watched the Singers grow from roughly 35 to 120 members. This group is a tapestry of amazing people of all ages and backgrounds that choose to leave the day's chaos and weariness at the door to share the joy of singing together.

But that positive impact doesn't stop when the music stops. It stays with you, and the people stay with you too. I've gotten to know people from all walks of life and made many lasting friendships. I even met my husband through another singer! My life was, and still is, profoundly changed by this incredible choral group.

There aren't enough nickels in the world to settle up on all of the belly laughs, happy tears, smiles, and performance adrenaline highs.

It's no wonder, then, that we're bursting to share this positive impact with our community to spread joy and leave our audiences feeling a bit lighter when they leave our shows.

Please help me sing another 15 years (at least!) by supporting our Singers family with your donation. Your gift matters--it helps support programs such as "Pay what You Wish" to expand access to our shows to the broader community, as well as additional community engagement for the choral arts.

Thank you for your donation and ongoing support!
