Dean Is Raising $$ For AACC!

Hi Family and Friends:

Many of you are familiar with my long-term membership in the Alexandria Harmonizers, but what the heck is AACC?  In 2018, the national barbershop society began to admit women and the Harmonizers could not resist. After the pandemic, we added a women's chorus in 2023 (Metro Voices) and started a mixed seasonal youth chorus in 2024 (Capital Force). A mixed over 55 chorus (Vintage Blend) is on the horizon. In 2024, the organization rebranded as the Alexandria A Cappella Collective (AACC).  

AACC does not just present concerts. For free, it brings live, human connection into everyday spaces across Alexandria and beyond.  Examples include singing: on Valentine's Day at senior facilities; at Veterans Day ceremonies and street festivals; in public spaces along Alexandria's pedestrian zone; at Old Town restaurants during Christmas; and at National Airport welcoming veterans' Honor Flights from across the nation.  And AACC engages around 100 choral students each year.

We invite you to be part of that work. If you move your cursor over the pie chart, you'll get a breakdown of AACC's annual expenses of $160,000. Income sources include show tickets, grant awards, performance fees and various fund-raising projects. But individual donations, including from AACC members, still provide the bulk of our revenue. Your support helps us bring the power of harmony to ever more people across our region.  

I'm on the Bass Team and my goal is $500. I've seeded the pot with $100 and invite 20+ family and friends to consider donating ($10 minimum, $25 each should get us there). Donations are fully deductible if that's your thing.
