The mission of the MLA is to provide an accessible, fun environment for individuals with special needs to enjoy sports. Your generous donation helps us:
- Remove Barriers: Adapt playgrounds, rec centers and sports fields to accommodate assistive devices.
- Foster Inclusion: Use a "buddy" system where volunteers assist players, building meaningful community bonds. Provide sensory tools such as communication boards for our non-verbal friends.
- Boost Well-being: Promote self-esteem and socio-emotional health by ensuring every player hits, runs, and scores. Make sure that no one is relegated to the sidelines.
- Beyond Baseball: Provide broader community support through sensory rooms, equipment scholarships, and other adaptive sports.
