Star Wars Kittens Need Your Help Out of Ukraine

As the war in Ukraine moves into its fifth year, Homeward Trails continues to support the brave individuals and groups who rescue cats and dogs from the front lines. 

Thanks to amazing supporters like you, we recently had four of the 11 cats patiently waiting for evacuation come safely to the DC area for adoption. The others had to wait while we continue to raise transport funds, and this group can come as soon as we hit our target. Please donate!

The cats will drive out of Central Ukraine, across Romania, and are loaded on to planes to the US. The average cost of sending the cats cargo is $750 per cat. As soon as we have raised the $2250 for this trio, we can book the flights! 

The Star Wars trio of sibling kittens were rescued from a volunteer in Kropvnytskyi. The woman is doing her best in her area to spay/neuter the community cat population without much support. The mother was a feral cat having multiple litters, and the woman hasn’t been able to catch her. She couldn’t afford to treat the kittens’ herpes/eye conditions on her own, nor would anyone help her locally, so she asked WOW Ukraine to take them in. Once safely in Vinnytsia to the WOW Ukraine shelter, the kittens were seen by an eye specialist and received full vetting. Now recovered, Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi (aka Obi-one Eye), and Princess Leia are ready to fly.
