 Right now, 140 ESOL students need your help to finish the school year strong!

Your refugee and immigrant neighbors in Northern Virginia need support with learning English and navigating their new home. Every day at For the Nations DC, immigrant and refugee families receive hope and help through English classes, practical assistance, and the good news of Jesus. 

We have a goal to raise $20,000 for the daytime English program to finish this school year. Can you help?


Your gift today provides English classes three times per week, helping adult students to improve their English and to learn about Jesus through the daily Bible vocabulary lesson—plus free childcare during class. Their kids ages 0-5 attend early childhood classes in an immersive English environment that prepares them for school. You can help created a place where your new neighbors feel seen, known, and loved.

Since 2018, FTNDC has offered help and hope to more than 1,246 refugees and immigrants in our community. Based at three campuses in Alexandria and Fairfax, we seek to walk alongside whole families while meeting their greatest needs.

In the 2024-2025 school year alone:

• 243 adults received help with English language learning
• 43 young learners (ages 0-5) enjoyed developmental activities that grew their minds and bodies while preparing them for school in an immersive English environment
• 31 elementary children received reading tutoring in Kids' Club twice per week while their mothers practice conversational English
